The Mod-Dogs were thrilled to take part in a silent auction and art show to benefit a very good cause for paws — A Rotta Love Plus is a rescue devoted to pit bull terriers, rottweilers and the breeds that have fallen victim to prejudice.
We donated a true blue Rottweiler Print to the auction, but the main features of the show “Deviant Art: Dispelling Myths:”
Photography by Bill Cady, Mic Hunter, and Jason Stenvold, Sarah Beth Photography, prints by Keenan Bennett, drawings by Sara Anderson, paintings by Lisa Sellman, Shannon McElree and Jessica Marianiello.
For us, the highlight (other than meeting some very esteemed artists and talking endlessly about dogs) was the doghouse display - made by teams of kids in south minneapolis, each house was entirely built and painted by hand, and oh-so-fanciful.
We’ll see you at next year’s show! yay pitties, yay rotties!

That’s awesome you guys got to be part of a rescue event! I love donating my art prints & originals that I also sell on eBay to breed rescue autions and raffles whenever I can. They do so much good. As a dog artist, I feel it’s important to support these awesome organizations! Keep up the good work!
